Hey people, nice to see you here. I hope you've liked what you've saw here. Okey, let's do this thing...
As you already know, my name is Bartek and I am Polish. What's my story? Something about me? Who am I? Well that's some great questions you have there. I was born in an average city, in central Poland, called Piotrków Trybunalski.
As a child I loved to draw and paint, but then I started High School, and I suppose everyone knows what that means. So after couple of years with basically none interest in any kind of "artistic" expression, I "discovered" Photoshop. Of course I sucked. Really bad. But I refused to surrender. I worked every day, and I still wasn't better. Well, what to do.
After some time of constant battle with PS and myself, I found polish site called gfxworld.pl and right there I found second "home". I was looking at other people works - full of envy, cause they were really good and I wasn't - but I didn't show much of mine. I've started to read tutorials and learn from them. I've tried to first "copy" others but after some time I was finally able to show something that was only mine to the "world". I was with gfxworld until the site went down some time ago. I've met a lot of great artists and great people over there, and I can say with nothing but confidence, that I wouldn't be here where I am today if I wouldn't met these "guys". So THANKS gfxw!!!
During my time with gfxworld, I've joined another fantastic group of designers... posterizes.com. Basically first time in my life I was able to "work" with guys from US, Australia, Singapore, Russia, Philippines, Lithuania. Great experience, fantastic people. I hope it's gonna continue...
Designing is a hobby for me. I'm not doing it for money, basically cause I don't have as much time as I did before. But I still love to open PS on my computer and do something that I'm gonna be happy with, and maybe some people will think that I did "nice job"...
Nowadays I live in Belgium, and work as a cook in the hotel restaurant.
PS. All the best for all you young designers, don't be worry what other people think about your work if they don't have any constructive criticism to offer. Just do what you like, train, train more and then train like three times more, and you gonna get better... trust me! ;)
